10 Years of Chipy: A Major Throwback to our Greatest Hits

This month we are celebrating our TENIVERSARY: 10 Years of Chipy during which we created the greatest online casino portal for players all around the world. We’re extremely happy to be here joined by an awesome community of active members who have been on this journey with us for years. 

At the same time we’re excited (and a bit nostalgic) to look back on our greatest achievements over the years and see how far we’ve come together. Over the course of these 10 years, we’ve expanded a lot and implemented a lot of features to make sure you, our players, have the best possible gambling experience here on Chipy.

Like any proper trip down memory lane, we start at the beginning. Back in early 2012, we launched Chipy (then called TheBigFreeChipList), as an online casino portal with great potential. We hoped that it would be a go-to spot for gamblers all around the world, and our dream came true.

Can you even picture Chipy.com without its Bonus Blog? We sure can’t! That’s why only a month after its launch, we added the Bonus Blog, where players can find and claim the hottest exclusive casino promotions on the web. In the past 10 years, we’ve offered over 350K blog bonuses to our players. 

More traffic
 

It took a little while for our casino portal to properly take off, but in the summer of 2012 Chipy really started to gain traffic and we started welcoming more and more players from all parts of the world.

To celebrate the growing success of our site, we introduced a symbol we now all know and love: the Chipy logo. Our beloved, instantly recognizable mascot is now embedded everywhere on our site.

Next up was the introduction of the casino reviews section, which is a vital part of our website. Since then, we have collected more than 44K reviews from dedicated registered users. We owe the success of this feature entirely to our active community, for sharing their genuine feedback to help their fellows.

The beginning of 2014 marked a very important milestone in our development. We opened the doors to our casino games section, available for free play to all players (registered or not). Over the past 8 years, we’ve added a whopping total of over 10K games and we’re not planning to stop anytime soon.

Community System
 

We launched what we consider to be our proudest achievement and most important asset: our community system. 

Our online community was born, started growing to become what it is today: an active community of passionate players who come together to have fun, win and help each other.

That same year, we decided to become extra-exclusive, so we launched our coin-based reward system. We created our own currency, the Chipy coins, which our players can easily earn and then use to purchase special items and enjoy our exclusive Play for Coins space.

Later in 2014, the Community Shop as we know it was added to the website. This gave us the opportunity to offer exclusive items to our members, such as avatar icons, bonuses or even real cash. We’re happy to see the shop has only grown in popularity over these years.

We launched our unique Play for Coins section, an exclusive space designed for our registered players where they can play free casino games and win real cash prizes.

Major redesign
 

Chipy.com as you see it today came about back in 2018, when we redesigned the entire website to have a more modern, appealing and user-friendly look and feel. We’re happy with the way it looks right now but we’re not excluding the possibility of new upgrades in the future.

To keep up with the times and be more accessible to players worldwide, we hit social media in early 2020. This was an important step we’re proud of, as it opened the doors to many new players and experiences.

In the spring of the same year, we also launched our News section, which now covers everything from exclusive interviews with industry representatives, guides, game releases and much and much more. We’re excited to see where this goes in the future,

In late 2020, we introduced a new concept for ranking online casinos on our site. The Token of Trust is a label or a merit badge we attach to our most trustworthy, legitimate, committed and secure casinos here on Chipy, so that players can spot them easily and trust them instantly!
