Nolan Dalla has the unique perspective of many forms of gambling from the vantagepoint of a player, writer, and casino executive.
Prior to becoming immersed in the world of gambling and moving to Las Vegas, Dalla lived and worked in Washington, D.C. He worked in the United States Senate, then the U.S. Department of State, in the Bureau of Consular Affairs after being stationed at the American Embassy in Bucharest, Romania during the downfall of Nicolae Ceausescu in 1989.
He later worked as a speechwriter and information officer for the Turkish Embassy in Washington, D.C.
After moving to Las Vegas in 2002 to launch the second phase of his career, he worked for Binion's Horseshoe as Director of Public Relations, then as Media Director of the World Series of Poker, Communications Director for PokerStars.com, and Creative Director for a live-action poker show on CBS Sports.
In short, Dallas has been at the epicenter of the most formative years of poker’s global expansion and has been directly involved in any of the decisions that led to its growth worldwide.
As for sports betting, Dalla has been a monumental force in handicapping methodology for 20 years. He devised the first widely-known NFL halftime betting angles in 2002, which revolutionized second-half wagering.
He’s also written extensively on all pro sports, constantly in search of data and systems which can be profitable.
Most of all, Dalla considers himself not an “expert,” but rather a student. There’s always more to learn if you’re a gambler.
He was featured and quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Las Vegas Review-Journal, The Las Vegas Sun, Cigar Aficionado, Casino Player, Poker Player, Poker Digest, Poker Pages, Gambling Times, The Intelligent Gambler, and more
